OK, that helped a little bit, for about 1 minute before it crashed
again. The crash was sort of different, but a crash is a crash is a
crash, right? I'm using libfmpeg, OpenGL and OpenGL2 for the settings.
The profile I created has only 1 entry so I figure it must be working
somewhat.

Before it crashed Myth was putting all sort of junk in the middle of
the playback screen so it wouldn't have been to watch, but it worked
for about 1 minute. Then X was gone again. I tried it a second time.
This time is just crashed immediately. The system still works though.
I can switch to a console, log in a root and type reboot. I cannot
read anything, but the machine is alive and the reboot is clean.

After logging back in I see this in Xorg.0.log.old:

(II) intel(0): EDID vendor "SAM", prod id 439
(EE) intel(0): Failed to pin xv buffer

Backtrace:
0: /usr/bin/X(xorg_backtrace+0x37) [0x812735f]

Fatal server error:

Anyway, thanks for the info. It helped, but this machine has
troubles. I'm pretty sure it isn't a Myth issue anymore but mplayer
did better with OpenGL on playback.

Thanks,
Mark
