Now you're on the right track.  To Jumbo (or not to jumbo) really isn't a 
question for almost all MythTV users; we're simply not chucking enough data 
fast enough at the network for it to be worth the hassle.  Jumbo was really 
intended to solve the problem of excessive ethernet overhead when throwing 
*massive* amounts of data over the network, such as with an iSCSI 
configuration.  (Since for the most part LAN connections work completely 
reliably or not at all, increasing the payload size and decreasing the 
frequency of checks saves considerable overhead!)
