And I had some way of getting 10 HD channels, which I don't think is
actually possible in the UK at the moment. When it is then I'll maybe
deal with it then, until that time comes I'm quite happy to stick with
SD and sit a sensible distance from the screen so that the picture
"appears" normal.

Agreed, in fact I know I get really hacked off whenever I buy "future
proof" systems, only to find out that the future is either much the same
as the past, therefore making the extra expense a waste of time, or that
the future is mandated by some corporate who's just decided that my
chosen method of "future proofing" isn't the right one, so I need to buy
new kit anyway!
