i agree that ubuntu does a better job with deb issues. It doesn't have
anything to do with the software/apt-get vs yum. But all to do with how
ubuntu issues non-free/closed software. They are all compiled by 1 group
Ubuntu. Red Hat refuses to to do so 3rd party groups compile them. Once
RPMFusion is complete hopeufully everyone will be brought under 1 group and
not duplicate packages and make everything compiled to work together. Until
this happend fedora/EL will have these issues.
I cant do much about this excpet mitigate it with priorities and being
careful. In any event i have spent way to much time at this point on my box
to switch OS's.
So, doesnt anyone know how to get the rpmforge lirc packages working? Maybe
ill try and put the atrpms ones back in.
