I have 2 Myth frontend systems that I've brought up to 2.6.29, and had
problems with both. One is running nvidia 180.* drivers, but I think I
that was a problem with the forcedeth networking drivers which I cleared
up with the NAPI option. I've still got compositing turned off, but I'm
not sure that that's a problem. It's running QT rendering. Also on
this system, I'm unable to rebuild LIRC for the lirc_imon driver.

The other system has an older card, so is running the nvidia 173.*
drivers. On that system I get 3.5 fps with compositing turned off, and
1.5 fps with it turned on. (Obviously something's wrong) As for Myth,
I forget the theme, but I believe it's GL rendering, and it looks like
it's having unusably bad transparency problems. The menus are faded,
and I can't see the highlighting. It's also not as intuitively usable
as the G.A.N.T., so I can't watch a recording by feel, just get out. I
haven't yet tried switching the theme under 2.6.28-r4, so I either try
the QT rendering or G.A.N.T. theme and work by feel.
