[mythtv-users] Can I turn off the channel preview in the guide while in livetv?

top shows me mythtv and mysql and only about 1.5.  It's an AMD dual-core
2.6Ghz system.

Pausing would be great too but I haven't been able to find that option
-- any direction would be appreciated.
