[mythtv-users] suddenly all my recording are gone

Yesterday as I was trying to view some recording I was faced with an empty 
recording list in mythfrontend. All recording are on the disk and everything 
seem to be OK in mysql database.

I've two problem:

-it look like myth dont get access to the database
-I also cannot view live tv (screen turn black few second and come back to 
myth screen)

don't know what to do

I'm running 
mythtv-0.21-192.fc8, 
video4linux-ivtv-kmdl-2.6.24.4-64.fc8-20080311-85.fc8
kernel 2.6.24.4-64
nothing in the log ( don't know exactly where to start)

any help would be apreciated
