Hi,
while I know this is not strictly a mythtv question I was wondering if
someone here might be able to help.

I have a MythDora 5 box that I put 2 Pinnacle PCTV HD (800i) cards into and
have since been having problems with sound.

Here is the relevant portion of the dmesg output:

Linux video capture interface: v2.00

ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:01:00.0[A] -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 19

Notice in particular:

ALSA sound/core/init.c:137: cannot find the slot for index 0 (range 0-3),
error:

Intel ICH: probe of 0000:00:02.7 failed with error -12

Here is the section of modprobe.conf file related to sound:

options snd cards_limit=4
alias snd-card-0 snd-intel8x0
options snd-card-0 index=0
options snd-intel8x0 index=0
remove snd-intel8x0 { /usr/sbin/alsactl store 0 >/dev/null 2>&1 || : ; };
/sbin/
modprobe -r --ignore-remove snd-intel8x0
alias snd-card-1 cx88_alsa
options snd-card-1 index=1
options cx88_alsa index=1
remove cx88_alsa { /usr/sbin/alsactl store 0 >/dev/null 2>&1 || : ; };
/sbin/mod
probe -r --ignore-remove cx88_alsa
alias snd-card-2 cx88_alsa
options snd-card-2 index=2
options cx88_alsa index=2
remove cx88_alsa { /usr/sbin/alsactl store 0 >/dev/null 2>&1 || : ; };
/sbin/mod
probe -r --ignore-remove cx88_alsa

Basically with the Intel8x0 failing to load I get no sound at all out of the
box. If I remove either of the cards things work ok.

Any ideas greatly appreciated....

Tim
