Hi all -
Quick question, as I didn't see it explicitly documented, I thought I'd
ask before doing this.
I currently have 4 hard drives (two IDE, two SATA) in my BE/FE box. Three
large partitions on these drives are currently being used as a storage
group:
/dev/hdb2 = /mythrec/drive1 (200G)
/dev/sda1 = /mythrec/drive2 (500G)
/dev/sdb1 = /mythrec/drive3 (500G)
/dev/hda contains the system partitions and audio/video (other than Myth)
files.
I am planning to replace these four drives with three bigger (750G) SATA
ones. Of these, two will be used in a storage group:
/dev/sdb1 = /mythrec/drive1
/dev/sdc1 = /mythrec/drive2
/dev/sda will replace /dev/hda.
Assuming that I copy all of the recordings from the three existing Storage
Group partitions onto the two new ones, will Myth be able to figure out
where they are (e.g., it won't try to look on /mythrec/drive3, since it'll
no longer be there)? Yes, I will of course update the Storage Group
settings in Setup.
Thanks
Bob
