And, really, whether you have a problem with trunk isn't the issue. The
issue is whether those running trunk take the time to keep up with
development so they don't waste the extremely limited time that the
developers have to spend on Myth.
When someone isn't reading the -dev list and -commits list, they tend to
"help" by submitting bug reports for incomplete features or works in
progress or they don't realize when a change requires them to change the
way they configure/use MythTV and think the code must be broken.
So, if a person isn't going to take the responsibility to keep up with
development (which takes quite a commitment of time), the project is
actually better off when they choose to use the stable version rather
than trunk.
If you're going to recommend that someone else run trunk, please make
sure you explain to them the responsibility they have when running trunk.
