I believe I am running DHCP3-SERVER with the HDHR.  I've not experienced any
issues with reboots of the backend and the HDHR grabbing an address.  I
don't think I've put any pauses in the boot process either (If I did, I've
forgotten, and don't know where the pause should go).  Probably not the
answers you were hoping for.  I can post the DHCP config file, after work,
if you like.  I really need to finish setting up VPN on my dd-wrt router,
but I'm so lazy!
