[mythtv-users] Dish Network receivers' 2nd tuner

I'm leaving Comcast due to a four month long saga of crappy CS so am
now launching into the world of STB control. My understanding is that
the "2nd TV" is controlled by an RF remote. I have not been able to
find any sucess stories of someone controlling the RF tuner with myth.
Has anyone done this? At this point I'm thinking about making a robot
with a mindstorms that changes channels with the Dish remote but that
seems silly for lots of reasons. Is there a wired way to change
channels on any of Dish's receivers?

Also, and sorry to get OT, how many receivers can one dish handle? If
I somehow acquired a receiver not from Dish will they let me use it?
