   lars: The master backend.

It's an Antec Overture case packed to the gills disk disk drives. Most
of these are for MythVideo. They're separate filesytems with a bit of
symlink glue. This box has the master backend, the mysql database and
one of my tuners, a PVR-150.

This is hooked to an SD DirecTV STB.

Lars is an AMD X2 (forget how fast) with 2G RAM and an embedded ATI
video chipset (which sucks) and lots of SATA ports (yum).

nomad: The desktop (previously a laptop)

The was the cheapest available desktop machine I could find brick+mortar
at the time when the previous nomad kicked the bucket. This machine is my
web & mail server as well as my database playpen (mysql, postgres, php).
It's an Athlon 3800 with 2G RAM, NV6150 video (does nicely) and a newly
acquired 1TB drive. That drive is a part of my "MythVideo SAN" and is tied
to the rest in the same way (NFS & symlinks). This box runs a slave backend
to which my Hauppauge 1212 is attached. It records to storage exported from
lars (which confuses MythTV a slight bit).

This is hooked to an HD DirecTV STB.

This box runs commflagging jobs 24/7 so that I don't have to run jobs on
any of the "main MythTV" boxes during prime-time viewing hours.

HDHR: I've also got an HDHomeRun sitting next to one of the frontend boxes. It
sits upstairs close to my indoor OTA antenna.

frankie: A mac mini frontend. Also runs mythjobqueue and does transcode and
commflagging jobs during non-primetime viewing hours.

riffraff: Another mac mini frontend. Also runs mythjobqueue and does transcode
and commflagging jobs during non-primetime viewing hours.

magenta: A 40G AppleTV that does nuthin but being a frontend.

All these machines run Ubuntu 7.10 or 8.04. Previously I ran the standard versions
of the MythTV packages from the mythbuntu repositories but now I run trunk so's I
    can use the HD-PVR.

    All the networking is wired.
