Does your Dreambox hava a DVB-S or a DVB-S2 Tuner? I think you can that way 
find out what type the stream is.

Here in germany DVB-S (Astra) works very good, even HD via DVB-S, i use 3 
Hauppauge Nova-Se2. I have not tested DVB-S2 yet. (Too many driver things at 
the moment).
