Hi Bob,
I am indeed having the same issue. I don't know what remote you are
using, I'm using the keyspan express with the JVC remote config. I
didn't have much time to track the issue down. As a workaround, I
programed one of the buttons to do a mouse click on the screen. When
mplayer is running, it's full screen, so any mouse click shifts the
focus to it, then the remote works again. Not the cleanest solution,
but this frontend really only gets used by me, so there's not WAF...
