One of the things about MythTV and firewire is that it doesn't/can't
use the "newer" firewire architecture. (See
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/FireWire )   So I had to use the
older firewire modules (libraw1394, etc.) from the ATrpms repository.
I would suspect that you are doing also using these older firewire
modules, so it is possible that these modules don't work 100% with the
2.6.27 kernel.

I don't have access to OTA or QAM signals, which is where the
HDHomeRun is best-suited.  But it would seem that using something
other than firewire would be done way to get around the problem.
