I have been following this thread for a while and, it seems, a common
factor seems to be X using up 100% no matter which drivers are used.
Perhaps you can try the following -
* Perform a BIOS upgrade - who knows, it may help.
* As far as I can see, only Ubuntu based distros have been tried -
perhaps trying Fedora or some other distro would be worthwhile. Just
to see if X can be run in a stable manner and from there working
towards MythTV.
I sympathise with your troubles and I hope we can still get you going
onwards to PVR bliss :-)
