I thought I remembered the name, it was discussed on the list back in 2006:

Judging by the current specs, it seems they are still using the same
Asus Pundit barebones system (although a newer spec). I know from
experience (I have a Pundit-R that is still used a frontend) that they
are not particularly quiet, tend to run hot inside the small case, and
have limited upgrade potential.

If I was going to buy an off-the-shelf system, a Pundit-based system
would not be my first choice, but the newer versions may be much
improved.

Having followed the thread, how do you currently receive your TV
service (OTA, cable, satellite?), do you want HDTV capability?, how
will you hook the box up to your TV (HDMI, VGA, S-Video, composite?),
how many simultaneous recordings are you likely to need?
