FWIW with latest Mythbuntu and NVidia drivers you often can't even watch 
HD with a 6400+ dual core without dropping frames occasionally..

There is something wrong with the X.org / Nvidia drivers in mythbuntu 
8.04. I am sure of it. I may go to the extreme of building my own X.org 
from SVN.
