I've been using a Zenith DTT900 for a little over a month now with
MythTV and must say I'm thrilled with the device and experience.
Picture and audio are crystal clear, and I pick up 9 more over-the-air
channels compared to what was watchable in analog.
I've posted a high level overview and HOWTO at:
http://www.mythpvr.com/mythtv/hardware/digital-converter-box/Zenith-DTT900.html
LIRC config and channel change script are posted there as well. I've
contributed the remote config back to LIRC...we'll see if it gets
publicly posted. Either way, you can get my DTT900 lirc config from
my site.
I'd say if you're currently using over-the-air analog in the US, you
should seriously consider this option. For me, it was like upgrading
to basic cable (but better picture quality) without a monthly bill.
