Any 6000 or 7000 series card with 128 MB or more of memory will do fine 
for playing video, including HD.

Just hunt around eBay or Amazon or your local online classified ads.

Stay away from the 8000 or higher series cards if you can because the 
NVidia driver doesn't have XVMC support for these cards.
