The control of a MythTV or TiVo box is what concerns me, given my
mother's technical abilities... Hand holding is also an issue, given
that we are talking some 320 km. (200 miles) and a 5 hours drive from
my place to hers (a drive I am not fond of...).

I do appreciate the feedback, as while I have found MythTV to be a
fairly painless bit of fun, I know not everyone sees it that way...
