[mythtv-users] Mythweb and Browse mode channel ordering and editing Channel Number

Mythweb and Browse mode channel ordering - is that solely by channel 
number? because the channel ordering option only seems to affect the guide.

If that's the case - can I safely change the channel number for channels 
using mythweb to get the ordering I want? I've tried it and it doesn't 
seem to affect viewing LiveTV, but will I be screwing up schedules etc 
by doing that?
