Yep, so my goal is to inform the user on startup that the configuration 
is broken so that they don't "assume" that everything is properly 
configured (because everything they've tested seems to work) and then 
one day parts of Myth just stop working.  Those "it was working fine and 
I didn't change anything" issues are the hardest for a user to solve 
(and it's often /very/ difficult for the reporter to convince people on 
the list that he didn't change anything).
