While mostly a QA program, THX is not completely a QA program. It
includes some design specifications as well (e.g. the cross-over filter
response and its partitioning between the receiver and speakers).
However, if you buy a combine amp+speaker system, then things like the
cross-over filter response should be be matched correctly between the
receiver and speakers already.
