[mythtv-users] 2 min Overlap - Cannot record - Help

Guys,

I've noticed that lots of programs now last X hours + 2 mins, It's
almost like this is designed to screw with recording shows, for example,
"The Apprentice" (in the UK - Alan Sugar) started tonight on BBC1 and
directly after it, "The Apprentice - You're Fired" on BBC2, however the
"The Apprentice - You're Fired" overlaps by 2 mins because "The
Apprentice" lasts 1 Hour + 2mins.

I tried everything to get both of them to record, but could not, the
only option was to "force record" the second show (using MythWeb), this
would mean in theory I would miss the last 2 mins of the first show -
MythWeb showed that it would record both, however, it did not record the
second show at all - Damn - cos it was good tonight :)

How can I prevent this kind of thing happening in the future ?, for
example, I would like to say, record the second show even if it means
I'll miss the credits + ads of the first show ? or as soon as the first
show has finished/recorded, start recording the second show - even
though I mis the intro + ads ?

"The Apprentice" Starts @ 9:00pm and lasts 1 Hour+2mins (According to
the Radio Times programming - via XMLTV)

and

"The Apprentice - You're Fired" Starts @ 10:00pm and lasts 30mins.

Any suggestions please ?

Albert.

ps. I'm lucky to actually be alive right now! I have 1 week exactly
(Next episode) to fix the problem - or I'll have to pack my bags - so
she says :)
