On my backend: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1700+
768 ram.
LVS with 2 PATA & 1 SATA 250G drives.

I have 2 HDHR & 3 PVR250.
I am able to record 4 HD streams and 3 PVR channels at once, as well
as watch one HD show (only have one HD frontend, so never tested more)

I think I'm pushing my backend at this point. Every now and then
there is a glitch in the recording. I'm not sure if that's my backend
or a weak feed from the cableco. But I don't care much. I've thought
of upgrading the backend, but that would be just to get more
transcoding power. I currenlty offload transcoding to the frontends
as they are a bit faster.

Good luck. I don't think you'll have problems with your 6 tuners on a
new system, but I've never used those cards so I can't say for sure.
