[mythtv-users] Update lineup for HBO/Cinemax preview?

If you want it added to the analog source, run mythfilldatabase without 
--remove-new-channels (ideally, running with --only-update channels).  
If you need it in both sources, you'll have to do something with 
--do-channel-updates and perhaps --do-not-filter-new-channels , all 
depending on the capture device you're using.  Though, if you're not 
using firewire (and are using QAM), you'll probably need to rescan.

Basically, it will make a mess, so you might want to make a DB backup 
and then do something like

clean up afterwards.  Or decide whether the movies you might record this 
weekend are really worth the effort compared to renting the DVD's.  :)
