personally I used Avia to calibrate my equipment:

I didn't go all the way through tuning all of my components though,
just hooked up a dvd player to the tv, calibrated it, I didn't then go
and pass it through a pvr500 or anything, but you should be able to do
that without problem (I think) It is possible you will run into some
issues due to myth doing deinterlacing and scaling, maybe someone else
with more knowledge can speak to that.
