Could be worth checking that the FS is OK. Although I suspect you are not 
all using ext3, I have seen some odd write errors at the start of the 
writting process, ignored them, then the rest of the file dissapears.

I've had it happen on my PVR-350/150 and pcHDTV-5500 so I don't think
it's specific to the card.
I've tracked it to the point where I see the file being recorded and
file size increasing, then when it's done, the file is suddenly 0
bytes. It happens so infrequently that it wasn't worth my time to look
any further than that. Besides.. it's just TV. ;)
