Since you already have a hauppauge remote receiver I would suggest the 
Radio Shack remote mentioned over at wilsonet howto. It has plenty of 
buttons, tested and working config files and its quite low cost compared 
to most other solutions. I have been using one for about 2 years now and 
its held up well.
