So you are using the display on your laptop that is a 15.4"  LCD, and you
are also connected to an external LCD monitor via a D-SUB cable, usually has
the blue ends on it.

Are you wanting Mythtv to play on the second, external NEC, display?

Are you going to be installing mythbuntu to the hard drive, or are you going
to boot from the CD/DVD each time you run mythtv?
