Buzz, absolutely wrong. The AppleTV under the native AppleTV OS can 
only handle 720p content.

The AppleTV under Linux OS using the nvidia binary can handle 1080i 
mepg2 content.

Running Linux OS and the nvidia binary driver on the AppleTV is a 
very different situation.
