[mythtv-users] Problems with mythweather

Hello, I've searched high and low and I can't seem to find anyone with a solution to this problem. Mythweather (in 0.21) just doesn't work.

The symptoms are common by my search results, but all the other solutions posed have not worked for me.
I am running Mythtv 0.21 on Archlinux x86_64. (latest).

Mythweather config screens *will not* allow me to search for a new location. All search attempts return 0 results, and seem to take zero time indicating that nothing is happening. 
I have screens. I managed to configure them a while ago but I cannot see anything on them unless I run mythfrontend as root, which I'd rather not do.
Run as a normal user, mythweather displays nothing, nada. I get a blank mythweather screen.

Any help is appreciated. I'm sure this is probably either a permissions issue, or a dependency issue, but I can't figure out what.
