As far as I know any DVB-S card that works with Linux should be fine. I'm
currently using an HVR-3000 and have just ordered a Technotrend S-1500
which I've read works fine.

In the past, I've got now and next data from EIT scanning, but I mainly
use xmltv to grab listings from the radiotimes website.

Robert.
