I just thought I should point out that the guide referenced here was
written in 2004 for the 2.4 kernel series.  A lot has changed since
then, including the removal of the /etc/raidtab file.  I don't know
details of how persistent superblocks are implemented now (I am just
learning about software raid setups myself) but just wanted to make a
note to be careful with old documentation.
