Hello all,

I have a Hitatchi 42' LCD tv that I am trying to setup mythtv frontend /
X to run at 1080p.

Its a box connected to an nvidia card using DVI. When not using much in
the xorg.conf file , it auto selects 720p pretty easily.

However, I am trying to setup 1080p. Despite using a few of the nvidia
options it refuses to go into 1080p mode.

My ps3 also runs linux, and this is able to drive the display at 1080p.
So looking at the xorg.0.log I found a modeline that I thought would
work.

However, when using this modeline with the machine I am trying to setup
at 1080p - it doesn't work. The display only shows half the screen and
it looks a bit weird.

Here is some of the xorg.0.log from the ps3.

(II) Running in FRAMEBUFFER Mode

(==) SPU_FBDEV(0): DPI set to (100, 100)

(II) LoadModule: "fb"

The ps3 uses the framebuffer, where as the machine I am trying to setup
uses nvidia. Any suggestions on how to resolve?
