The dump is just a big text file. You can extract anything out of
it you like. You can extract individual tables and individual rows.

You can also just specify a particular table on the commandline.

If you are migrating data, I would first import the whole thing from
the old source system and then wipe out the parts that aren't 
appropriate to the new target system. Basically, import the smaller bits 
on top of the larger bit that is prone to have more (unenforced) 
referential constraints.
