[mythtv-users] EIT vs XMLTV

Hi

I'm new so I couldn't reply to the recent thread.. at least I don't know how I could.

I haven't yet had any trouble with misspelled programme names in EIT.

The big advantage of EIT is that program rescheduling is quickly reflected.  I remember a while back one of my tuners suddenly started what I thought was an unscheduled recording.  Tracing this through I found that when the snooker finished early the BBC broadcast a couple of entertainments programs, one of which I had selected to record at any time.

Fairly cool, but not as cool as a similar, more important effect (feature?).  Tonight the darts finished late.. and I had Match Of the Day set to record afterwards.  This was automagically rescheduled.  Marvellous!!!

So.. I have nothing but good to report from using the 1 week of EIT data.
