If you configure MythTV not to update the pixmap when bookmarks are
created (which is the default), then MythTV should not try to update
the pixmap you create so long as it has a later date than the recording.

But if you created a patch that allowed MythTV to create a proper pixmap
for AVI's that would also be accepted as an "enhancement" ticket.
