Now that's just silly. For example NewEgg wants $135 for a 34GB Fuji  
U320 SCSI drive, which is available for under $50 elsewhere.

A search for "ECC RAM" turned up 6 hits, none of which were actually  
ecc ram but were devices containing it. Some hits were devices that  
had "non-ecc ram", thus the hit. So I guess ecc ram DIMMS do not exist  
as separate items?

There are other examples. NewEgg is a decent well-known vendor but  
they are certainly not the be all and end all of things.
