Does anyone have any ideas on this? I haven't been able to get very far.
It seems to be a mythtv thing, as I can play recordings back via xine with
no problems... and there are no errors, so I don't even really know where
to go.

If it helps, I only recently started ripping DVDs, so I think the sound
issues correspond to that, although I'm not sure how they're related. Maybe
some weird codec thing screwed with alsa? Is there anything I can do with
alsa to debug the problem?

thanks,
matt
