Quite honestly, if you're loath to upgrade, Fedora probably isn't the best
distro for you. I recently switched my "server" type machines (including
MythTV) to CentOS as it's supported for much longer. On my laptop, I still
run Fedora 8, but with the full knowledge that there's at least a yearly
upgrade cycle (6 was supported until 8 came out, 8 will be supported until
10 comes out). But I wanted some of the "whiz-bang" features like Desktop
Effects that aren't included in CentOS 5.1 for my laptop (don't care about
those on the servers :).

I highly doubt you'll find a repo that will have MythTV on it. If you're
insistent that you want to stick with FC 6 and want a mythfrontend on it,
you're only choice may be to compile from source the same version of Myth
that's on your backend... but if you don't have the right devel tools to
compile from source, you may run into the same problems.

Like I said, that's why I switched my server type machines off from
Fedora... I had fallen way behind on the upgrade treadmill (When Schedules
Direct/0.20.2 came out, I was still running FC 4 on my Myth box... that
caused me a lot of headaches 'cause there were no repositories left to
upgrade from).
