I have got this working for me using Mythbuntu 7.10 with SVN auto build.
To install 0.5.51. Only proceed if you know what you are doing
otherwise you will more than likely end up with a mixed up system.
When Hardy is released this should come with the version listed below.
I strongly suggest NOT updating any other package other than XMLTV
when following these instructions.
View http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/all/xmltv/download in a browser
and use System - Software Sources to add an appropriate source. I
just used the suggested
deb http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy main universe
System - Synaptic, Search for xmltv and update/add/upgrade the obvious
4 lines with xmltv in it.
System - Software Sources remove the hardy repository to stop it
displaying hundreds of other updates that are probably not all
compatible.
You now have the new XMLTV obviously update your config files /
database. The new channel_ids file can be found in
~/.xmltv/supplement/grabber_name. If you are using tv_grab_uk_rt I
strongly recommend reading this file as there is quite a bit of new
functionality.
