The xbox is probably the problem. Its pretty wimpy processor wise. I 
doubt its up to the job of on-the-fly conversion of hd materials. You 
might think about transcoding those recordings into a size and format 
that you can play. That happens on the backend which I suspect has lots 
more hp. Only downside is you will have to wait for transcode to finish 
before you can watch the program

I put my xbox away shortly after 0.20 released and have not missed it at 
all.  There are lots of good micro size computers on the market now that 
will do your HD material with ease.
