Sorry to clog the board, but I have sent 2 replies to my thread where people are actually trying to help me and the posts have gone un-acknowledged and never turned up!!!

Everything in your other posts looks good. I think I may know what your problem is can you post your change channel script to see what you have for --device. It should be /dev/lircd1.
