Urgh... BBC HD is also on SAT, and i for one have been receiving it for 
many months....

More to the point, the cable co's here in NL are using h.264 on HD 
transmissions, which we capture and play in MythTv :)

And yes, i for one am using dual-core CPUs to handle that....
