[mythtv-users] Pink screen of death

On one particular machine mythfrontend sometimes dies with this "Pink
screen of Death".  The monitor goes pink, sometimes I will hear a few
snippets of sound, sometimes as much as a minute later, and the
machine is pretty much frozen.  I can ping the machine at that point
but can't ssh in and all SysRq keys will do is reboot it.  Any
suggestions for dealing with this?
