[mythtv-users] frontend crash when switching to live or recorded

Mythfrontend crashes when attempting to switch either to live tv or to
watching prerecorded. The problem is intermittent, and doesn't seem to
follow any patterns that I can discern. After looking through the
mailing list, I am more confused than before. 

The crash does not affect either the backend or the xserver, as far as I
can tell. Frontend just goes away, and has to be restarted.
