[mythtv-users] lirc start-up issue

Hi all,
 
When I boot the machine (ubuntu) I've got a session defined to start
mythfrontend. Sadly, it turns out it takes 3-4 minutes for some lirc related
processes to fight it out before lirc starts running. This means a) no
remote in mythfrontend at that time and b) just to make it more complicated
even after lirc starts running (as confirmed with irw in another window) I
have to restart mythfrontend to get it to recognize that lirc is running.
 
Here's the output of ps showing the processes just after boot time and then
a few minutes later. What I don't understand is that it appears that there
is some sort of conflict as each one is being restarted and started
simultaneously.
 
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
